115 Rheinbach area participants traveled to Rhinebeck to live in the homes of Rhinebeck families, during summer 2008.

Rehearsals wer scheduled here for three concerts. The final "Hearts Across the Water" concert is performed with the musicians from both countries, including the Exchange theme song, Handels' "The Brotherhood of Man".

Excursion highlights include visiting historic, cultural, government, and scenic places such as:

Rhinebeck: Has a population of 10, 839 people (2000 census). It is situated about 140 kilometers north of New York City on the Hudson River. Our Exchange home base was settled in 1686 A.D.
